In 2023, BGS embraced Project-Based Learning for grades 4 to 8, moving away from traditional teaching methods to a more dynamic, student-centered approach. Every grade 4 student completes at least two projects annually, while grades 5-8 students undertake three projects each year. To support this initiative, we introduced specialized project books, offering clear guidelines to help students successfully navigate their projects. PBL nurtures critical thinking, problem-solving, and ownership of learning. As a proud affiliate of the Aga Khan University Education Board, BGS stands at the forefront of implementing this globally recognized educational model.
The BGS Learning Management System (LMS) has redefined how education is delivered, creating a centralized platform that enhances learning efficiency and accessibility. From interactive course content and video lessons to quizzes, assignments, and progress tracking, our LMS supports both classroom and remote learning. With advanced tools like collaborative forums and performance analytics, the LMS empowers teachers and students alike, fostering an engaging, future-ready learning environment.
To equip students with superior communication skills, BGS launched a cutting-edge Language Lab. Featuring 20 structured units across four learning paths, the lab develops students’ reading, writing, listening, and speaking abilities, ensuring fluency and confidence in the English language.
At BGS, we have integrated Robotics Educational Kits into the curriculum, transforming the way students approach STEM disciplines. By working with robots and electronic components, students not only strengthen their technical knowledge but also enhance teamwork, discipline, and problem-solving skills. BGS is proud to be the first school in Azad Kashmir to bring 3D printing technology to the classroom. In 2023, BGS hosted the prestigious Mensa IQ test, making history as two of our students, Ayesha Khan and Azan Ishfaq, achieved perfect scores.
